Casselberry, Florida Moving Company
It’s bad enough to get the news from your landlord that the owners have suddenly decided to come back and you have to leave your house within the next two weeks but having to go through the pain of moving is even worse. It can be painful to leave behind a place that you have lived in for many years and experienced so many wonderful moments.
Even though moving can be a frustrating and difficult there are a few ways to make your moving experience a pleasant one without all the hassles and headaches. Here are a few ways to prepare yourself for a big move in Central Florida, Orlando, Baltimore, or Washington.
Write down everything
Before you begin to start putting things in boxes make a list of everything that needs to be packed first or better yet make a list of things that need to be done in order. Remember not to pack essential items like your toiletries, a few clothes, and underwear, and other essential items that you will need until the last day of moving out of the house. The last thing you need amidst all the packing and boxes and moving is to realize you’ve already gone and packed something that you needed to use again and it’s buried in one of the 100 hundred boxes you have lying around your house! Now that can be a real nightmare.
Jotting down all the important things that need to be done prior to packing and moving can be a real lifesaver and will prevent you from forgetting anything important. You could even maintain an entire notebook for your moving process and not just one list. Instead of naming your boxes, you could number them and then write down all the items in your notebook that are covered under that number. For example, number 5 could mean all bathroom items and toiletries and in your notebook, you could list out all the items that fall under number 5 in detail so that nothing is forgotten.
Stock up on supplies
Apart from the obvious supply of boxes in plenty, make a list of all the thing you will need to buy at the stationery shop like glue, cello-tape, duct tape, scissors, and other essentials that you will need for packing. Sealing your boxes safely and securely is just as important as putting everything into the boxes.
Dealing with special items
Also remember to disassemble certain furniture items like dressing tables, mirrors, dining tables, bed frames, etc. before packing and transporting them. Your movers will usually reassemble all these items for you later at your new home. Disassembling furniture helps to avoid damage and breakage of furniture plus it makes it easier to transport from one place to another.
Another thing you need to remember is that there are certain items that cannot be moved such as paint, paint thinner, gasoline, auto batteries, bleach, acids, kerosene, ammunition, solvents and many other items that are potentially dangerous as they are inflammable or combustible. Check with your moving company about this in detail.
